Submissions for the “The Last Time” Themed Event Are Due April 14
Wilmette, IL–March 19, 2024 — Tell Your Story, a story-driven boutique marketing agency, announces its continued partnership with the historic Wilmette Theatre to produce the second annual Tell Your StorySlam. This event is a live storytelling show for people with powerful narratives to share, told in five-minute time blocks. The 2024 show, with a theme of “The Last Time,” will be held Friday, May 3.
“We had a great time last year at the Tell Your Story Slam, with more than 100 attendees, and are thrilled to bring it back. We are a community made up of people with great personal stories to tell, and we want to hear all of them, whether comedic, tragic, or adventurous,” said Wilmette Theatre program director Amy Falkowski.
“I have been helping businesses tell strong stories my entire career and I know that everyone has something to say, a story unique to them,” says George Rafeedie, founder of Tell Your Story and co-host of the Slam event. “We love bringing people together and hearing anecdotes by our neighbors that make us learn, think, laugh, and maybe cry. We believe everyone brings inspiration to the table.”
Submissions for “The Last Time” are due by April 14 and can be sent to Amy Falkowski at amy@wilmettetheatre.com in either a 250-word summary or a 60-second video. All stories must be personal and non-fiction. Tickets to the show can be purchased here.
